You are required to have a well-fitting painting respirator, which you will continue to use in future years of your program. Respirators require a tight seal and cannot be worn with facial hair that crosses the respirator sealing surface. If you are unable to shave your facial hair for religious reasons, please contact your program.
Filters and cartridges are provided by the program. If you are bringing your own respirator from home, it must work with 3M™ 6000 Series bayonet cartridges. Compatible facepieces include the 3M™ 6000 and 7000 Series of half- and full-face respirators.
Respirators are final sale and will not be accepted for return once open. Respirators are available in size small, medium, and large. If you are unsure which size you need, samples will be available at the Patricia campus bookstore closer to your start date. Most students will require a size medium respirator.
This respirator is optional. If you choose to purchase it, you will also need to purchase a pair of P100 particulate filters. Respirators are available in size small, medium, and large.

The 3M™ Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator 6000 Series combines comfort and convenience. Remarkably comfortable, soft, and lightweight, the facepiece has easy-to-adjust straps that allow for a customized fit to the user. Replaceable cartridges and filters allow reuse of the facepiece for cost savings. Can be disassembled, cleaned and reused.
